Original First Century Christianity

1 Original First Century Christianity worships the only One True God Yahweh. He dwells in the Heavens, yet through His out-flowing energy is everywhere present. He alone is essentially immortal, being the fountain of all life, the Maker and Sustainer of everything that is. Deut 6:4, 5; Ps 146:5-10 Mt 22:37, 38; 1 Tim 6:16.


2 Original First Century Christianity offers access to God through the Messiah Jesus. True Christians accept Jesus the Messiah as God’s means of salvation. (John 3:16; Matthew 20:28; Acts 4:12; John 17:3, 6-8; 1 Tim 2:5, 6; 1 John 4:15). Yahshua the Messiah, the Son of God, was first promised, and came into being only when he was born of the virgin Mary. And that Yahshua was of our nature notwithstanding the mode of his conception and his anointing with the Holy Spirit. Constituted of flesh and blood as we are and tempted in all points like us yet without sin, to remove by his obedience, death and resurrection (he was raised up as a second Adam) the evil consequences resulting from the disobedience of the first Adam. 1 Tim 2:5; Rom 8:3; Heb 2:14; Gal 4:4; 2 Cor 5:21 1 Cor 15:21, 45; Rom 5:15, 19; Heb 5:7, 8; 2:17; 4:15.



3 Original First Century Christianity teaches the Holy Spirit is a force, the invisible power and energy of the Father by which God is everywhere present. The chosen messengers have been given only the power and authority from Yahweh they need to accomplish their mission. Gen 1:2; Num 11:17; Mt 3:16; John 20:22; Ac 2:4, 17, 33. The Spirit is not a 'separate' or 'other' person. Ac 7:55, 56; Re 7:10 It is God's own radiant power, ever out flowing from Him, by which His 'everywhereness' is achieved. Ps 104:30; 1 Cor 12:4-11.

The Spirit is personal in that it is of God Himself: it is not personal in the sense of being some other person within the Godhead" The phrase like a dove is a descriptive comparison. The Spirit is not a dove, but descended like one in some sort of bodily representation.

5 Original First Century Christianity remains untainted by worldly politics and conflicts. It is neutral in time of war. John 18:36; James 1:27. It does not condone war or personal violence. Mic 4:2-4; Rom 12:17-21; Col 3:12-14. It successfully unites people of every race language and tribe. It does not preach nationalism or hatred but love. Isa 2:2-4; Col 3:10, 11; Re 7:9, 10

 6 Original First Century Christianity lets God be true by accepting the Bible as God’s Word. Rom 3:3, 4; 2 Tim 3:16, 17; 1 Thess 2:13.

7 Original First Century Christianity does not teach that the Devil is a supernatural being, but the principle in human nature, which gives all men a natural tendency to sin. Yahshua came to destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8; Heb. 2:14). So what are the works of the devil, “each man is tempted by his own desires and desire gives birth to sin and sin brings forth death.” James 1:13-15; 1 John 2:15-17 Yahshua’ death takes away original sin: Gen 3:14,15; Isa 53; Rom 8:3; 6:23; Heb 9:26; John 3:16; 1:29; Acts 10:43; 4:12; Rom 3:25; Gal 1:4; Titus 2:14.

8 Original First Century Christianity teaches that the Lord Jesus the Messiah is to return from the heavens where he ascended, to raise and to judge the dead, and to set up his Kingdom. (Acts 1:6, 9-11; 3:19-21; 2 Tim 4:1; Heb 9:28; Matt

16:27; 1 Thess 4:16; 1 Pet 1:13; Phil 3:20, 21; 1 Cor 1:7; 1 John 2:28; 2 Pet 1:11; 1 Thess 2:12; Matt 25:34). This will be the Kingdom of David restored, in the land promised to Abraham; but the Anointed One's rule will be extended over the whole earth, and all nations will share in its blessings. 1 Chron 28:5;29:23; 2 Chron 13:8; Ezek 21:25-27; Hos 3:4-5; Luke 21:24; Matt 23:36-39; Ps 102:13; Isa 61:4; 33:20, 21; Amos 9:11; Zech 1:16, 17; 2:12; Luke 1:32, 33; Acts 1:6, 9-11; 3:19 -21; 14:16; Micah 4:6-8; Isa 11:12; Jer 31:10, 27, 28; Ezek 37:21, 22; Isa 24:23; 52:1; 60:14.

 9 Original First Century Christianity advocates serving God not for selfish gain or a salary but out of love. It does not glorify men it glorifies God. 1 Peter 5:1-4; 1 Cor 9:18; Mt 23:5-12

10 Original First Century Christianity proclaims the kingdom of God as man’s sure hope not some political or social philosophy. Mr 13:10; Ac 8:12; 28:23, 30, 31. It teaches that the Earth is promised as the inheritance of the Anointed One and those who are saved through him. It will therefore remain as their lasting home. And that the men and women accepted by the Anointed One at his return, and given eternal life, are to reign with him for a thousand years. Their subjects will be the mortal peoples of all nations ; but at the end of this period death will be wiped out, and the earth will be filled only with an immortal race in perfect harmony with God, who will be "all in all". Eph 4:6; Rev 1:8, 11; 21:6, 22:13; 2 Cor 5:19; 1 Tim 3:16;. 1 Cor 8:6 1 Cor 15:28.


11 Original First Century Christianity teaches the truth regarding God’s purpose for man and the earth. It does not teach the religious lies of immortal soul and eternal torment in hell. It teaches that God is love. Jud 16:30; Isa 45:12, 18; Mat 5:5; 1 John 4:7-11; Re 20:13, 14


12 Original First Century Christianity teaches that Eternal Life is offered only to those who believe the Gospel, render obedience to it by baptism. It is a bodily immersion in, and not a face-sprinkling or head pouring with water. Its administration to infants in any form, is unauthorized and useless; it is only enjoined on those who have intelligence enough to believe the good news of the kingdom of God and the things concerning the name of Jesus the Messiah.
