TURKEY'S MINE DISASTER . . . CATALYST FOR REGIONAL CHAOS ?!?


Since the Arab Spring , Turkey has been ' on a knife-edge ' Social anger & unrest has remained at boiling point with widespread political corruption & oppression , evident in the govt's recent shutdown of social media such as Twitter & YouTube to suppress dissent. Then just on the 1st anniversary of the 2013 Turkish riots comes the worst mining disaster in Turkey's history, leaving almost 300 miners dead & corrupt politicians & mine owners facing the public backlash. Further enraged by video footage of Turkey's PM Ergodan & his officials ' caught ' physically beating & brutalizing local miners , the streets of the mining town , Soma , Istanbul & the capital Ankara have erupted in violent protests , threatening to unhinge Turkey's fragile social & political stability. With ' tensions ' between Russia & Turkey escalating dramatically in recent days with the unfolding Ukraine crisis, the time will soon come when Vladimir Putin will seize upon Turkey's unravelling chaos before his latter-day invasion of the Middle East & Israel
